WhatsApp is rolling out an amazing feature to improve its users’ chat experience. With the help of this feature called View Ones, users can automatically delete photos sent in a chat. This feature acts as an Instagram feature that expires on Instagram. Let us know the details.
Send a photo disappearing from the phone gallery
According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature has just been released for Android users of WhatsApp beta. According to a shared screenshot, users will be able to send the disappearing photo from the phone’s gallery. After selecting a photo, the user must tap on a clock-like icon. This option appears next to the title bar when you send a photo.

Can also be used for videos and GIFs
Apart from photos, WhatsApp’s ViewOne feature can also be used for videos and GIFs. If you are a beta user, this feature of WhatsApp is visible to you when sharing photos while chatting. To use this feature, you will need to update your WhatsApp beta version number to 2.21.14.3.
Reading receipt disabled does not make any difference
According to reports, even if the user has disabled the receipt, they will know whether the receiver has seen the photo once the view has been opened with the feature being sent. At the same time, if you send a photo of a group disappearing, then you will know about opening a photo of a group member.

Recipients can take a photo screenshot
One thing to note is that a group member or someone you send a disappearing photo to can take a screenshot of it and save it on the phone. WhatsApp does not give users any notification to take screenshots. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how effective the WhatsApp ViewOn feature is.
The stable version will be rolled out soon
Go to WhatsApp’s ‘Message Info’ section to see who opened and viewed the message that was once sent with the feature. According to WABetaInfo, the most restricted contacts in WhatsApp groups can also view photos and videos. The company is beta testing this feature and its stable version will be rolled out to global users in the near future.
