The Central Government has directed the cancellation of all charges on vessels carrying oxygen and other related equipment from all major ports. The move comes amidst a rapid rise in cases of Kovid-19 infection in the country. The port came to all major ports with preference for berths for medical-grade oxygen, oxygen tanks, oxygen bottles, portable oxygen generators and anchoring vessels, the Shipping and Waterways Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

Kamarajar Port Limited in view of high demand of oxygen. All ports, including the major port trusts, have been asked to remove all fees. These include shipping related charges and storage charges. The head of the ports has been asked to personally monitor logistics operations so that there are no problems with their movement.
