The GST Council meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will be held on June 12, in which a decision will be taken to reduce the GST rate on essential items related to Kovid. The GST Council meeting will be held on June 12, at which time the government report will be considered, officials said. Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna on Wednesday said that the state government is in favor of cutting taxes on essential items related to Kovid for the benefit of patients. It does, however, accept the GST Council’s decision regarding the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates.
