At the present North Delhi Municipal Corporation House meeting, the resolution was unanimously approved to grant permission to the Chandni Chowk Hanuman Temple at Chandni Chowk in the present situation. The motion was tabled by the party’s leader Sadan Yogesh Verma under section 74 of the Delhi Metropolitan Policy. Opposition leader of the corporation Vikas Goyal and Congressman Mukesh Goyal also supported the proposal and insisted that there should be no vandalism in the temple.
When the proceedings of the meeting began, the Mayor of the Northern Corporation, Jayaprakash Leader House, was asked to submit a proposal on the ancient Hanuman Temple at Chandni Chowk. “The Chandni Chowk is not only the busiest business center in the country, it also houses places of worship of all religions,” Neta Sadan said in the resolution. The Hanuman Temple is located in Chandni Chowk. The Chandni Chowk area redevelopment and beautification project is in progress these days.
As part of this action plan, the Hanuman Temple, which had been erected for nearly 60 years on the road to Chandni Chowk, was demolished in January on the orders of the High Court, but a few days ago the steel temples were suddenly reopened overnight by unknown people. The demolition of the temple has adversely affected the people and devotees of the area.
The proposal said that Hanuman Temple was re-established there, taking care of people’s feelings. Where the temple is located, 18 power transformers are installed along the road and all of these roads are in the central square. The mayor’s office had an all-party meeting regarding the Hanuman temple and said that it was agreed that the temple should be located there.
The resolution was unanimously approved by the mayor. The proposal will be forwarded to the Delhi government’s religious committee and to the lieutenant governor.
