Country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is set to release its next-generation model of the cheap and popular car Alto in the domestic market soon. However, some other models (already in the team) will be released before this car comes to market.
According to media reports, Maruti Suzuki has been working on the next generation Alto model for a long time. Codenamed (Y0M), this new car was spotted on Indian roads during testing on several different occasions. There are rumors that the car will be launched in the market by the end of the year, although the company has not shared any official information about the car.

Looking at the test model, it can be said that the company does not make any significant changes in the size of this car. It is similar in size to the current model, but can increase its height. Furthermore, the newly designed bumper and grille make its front look even more attractive. This can also increase the car’s wheel base, which helps to provide better cabin space inside the car.
Other variations include a redesigned turn indicator, side fenders, roof mounted spoiler and side door rear mirrors (ORVM) along with common door handles. In this car, the company can offer a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include Power Windows, Keyless Entry, New Instrument Cluster.
As for the engine, the company can use the existing petrol engine with a capacity of 796cc. It produces 48bhp and 69Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5 speed manual gearbox. The most important thing about this car is that the company prepares it on the Hertech platform, which reduces the weight and power of the car. The car can also be offered with a 1-liter K10 engine, which also gets an automatic gearbox.
