The number of new cases of coronavirus in India has risen to 114, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday. The situation is constantly being monitored and the states are being consulted regularly, the ministry said.
It said the number of people currently infected with the new type of corona virus in the country is 114. All these people are housed in the same room in the health institutions designated by the respective state governments, the ministry said.
It also said that people who are in close contact with these people are being kept separate and that all people in contact with them are being tracked down, including passengers, family members and others. The ministry said the genome sequencing of other samples was happening simultaneously.
The situation is constantly being monitored and the states are being regularly consulted for monitoring, prevention and investigation and the samples are being sent to the ‘Indian SARS-Cove2 Genomics Consortium Laboratories.
