The process of fixing the name, address and date of birth in Aadhaar is easier than ever, sitting at home and working

So if your Aadhaar card has any name, address, date of birth or gender related details, correct it as soon as possible. UIDAI, the Aadhaar distribution company, has made the process easier than ever. Now you can change the name, address and date of birth in Aadhaar from the comfort of your home with your phone or laptop. So let’s learn about the process:

Change the name on Aadhaar card in this way
>> First go to ssup.uidai.gov.in.

>> Here you will see the Update Aadhaar option after the procedure, click on it.

After this you will open a page where you will be required to log in with your 12 digit Aadhaar number.

>> Then fill in the given captcha on the screen and click Send OTP, then the OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

After entering the OTP, a new page opens in the next steps, in which you need to enter your personal details, such as your address, date of birth, name and gender, and many other information. Here you get the option to update the name and email address by name.

Now if you want to change the name, then click on the name.

>> Keep in mind that you must have ID Proof to update the name. One can use a PAN card, DL, Voter ID or Ration Card as ID proof.

After giving all the details verification OTP comes in your number and checks it and saves the change.

How to change the date of birth in Aadhaar
>> Go to Aadhaar’s Self Service Update Portal.

Now select the ‘Continue updating Aadhaar’ option in the Aadhaar Card Portal.

Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar card number and check the captcha code.

>> Click on Send OTP option, it will be sent to your mobile phone.

Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number on the portal and click Login.

>> Select Date of Birth. After that make the changes you want to make and update information.

Update the address in Aadhaar like this
For this, you should first go to UIDAI’s official website, uidai.gov.in.

After this you will have to go to my Aadhaar section of the home page.

>> Here you are updating your Aadhaar column in which you need to click Update Demographics Data Online.

After this you will open the Self Service Update Portal (SSUP).

>> here you have to click on the Procedure to Update Aadhaar option.

After this you will need to login with a 12 digit Aadhaar number. The link will now be received via SMS on your registered mobile number.

>> Check by entering OTP and captcha. After entering the OTP, a new page opens in front of you, where you get two options, you need to click Update Demographic Data.

After this you need to click on the Address option, below you will be required to submit a scanned copy of the valid document. After that click Proceed.

After this you will see your old address and fill in some personal information below and also upload valid documents. After this you can see through the preview too.

Now notice the ‘Update Request Number’ (URN) that appears on the screen. With this help you can check the status on the UIDAI website.
