“The Ram temple will be completed in 3 years. The cost will be around 1100 crores.”

The construction of the majestic Ram temple in Ayodhya is expected to be completed in about 3 years and is expected to cost over Rs 1100 crore, according to a senior official of Rama Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra. Trust treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said, “The main temple will be completed in three and a half years and the cost is Rs 300-400 crore. The development of the entire 70-acre farm will cost more than Rs 1,100 crore. ”

He said that this estimate of cost has been reached after consultation with experts on Ram temple construction project. Talking to ABP Manja Marathi TV Channel, the Trust has not yet made any official statement on the cost of building the temple.

He said, “We were able to raise money from some corporate houses (for building the temple). Some (corporate) families came to us and requested to hand over the temple design to them and they promised to complete the temple project, but I politely declined them.”

Asked about some of the circles criticizing BJP’s campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections focusing on Ram temple, he said, “People have glasses, they look the same. We have no glasses and our eyes are on devotion.”

“Our goal is to reach 6.5 lakh villages and 15 crore households,” he said. Asked if he was going to donate the temple to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence, Mato Sri, he said, “If he is willing to donate, I will go there.”

Maharaj traveled to the Rashtrapati Bhavan last week and received Rs 5,00,100 from President Ramanath Kovind for the construction of the temple. Asked whether he would go to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for the construction of the temple, Maharaj said, “If anyone assures me that I will not be humiliated there, I am ready to do so.”
