Throwback: ‘Javed Miandad asks the bowler what your room number is,’ Sunil Gavaskar described Kapil Sharma’s playful anecdote

Sunil Gavaskar of India and Javed Miandad of Pakistan are among the best batsmen in the world. Both players were the main pillars of the respective team’s batting, which sometimes forced their team out of trouble and led to a memorable victory. Little Gavaskar holds the record of scoring the first ten thousand runs in Test cricket, while Miandad has scored more than 16,000 runs in international cricket, scoring a run for Pakistan. With so many matches between India and Pakistan, fans saw a battle of excellence between the two players. Furthermore, both players have been involved in many funny stories, which was an excuse for fans to laugh.

Having played the biggest innings against the British, Sehwag-Virat is not named

Recalling such an anecdote, Sunil Gavaskar shared an anecdote related to Miandad in comedian Kapil Sharma’s ‘Comedy Night with Kapil’, during one match, when Miandad blocked Indian spinner Dilip Doshi’s playing ball. Miandad frequently used such items to distract the player. When questioned repeatedly in the match, Dilish pleaded guilty and angrily asked the former Pakistan batsman, “Why do you want my room number? Miandad needs to hit sixes in your room.”

This rule continues in the IND-ENG series that India can benefit from

Gavaskar was accompanied by former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag in this episode of the Kapil Sharma show. In this episode, Navascot Singh Sidhu makes fun of Gavaskar’s teammates and then asked Gavaskar to tell them the story of Miandad. Gavaskar is currently playing the role of commentator and cricket expert after retiring from international cricket. He commented during the Test series between the IPL 2020 and India-Australia.
