TMC mocking BMP statement – West Bengal sinks in Ganga if BJP wins power

The Trinamool Congress on Friday alleged that all the central government’s schemes in the state were hollow and failed, in which case the state would sink into the lurch if the BJP came to power in West Bengal. TMC Rajya Sabha member Sukhendu Shekhar Roy mocked the BJP’s statement that the state would be transformed into a ‘sonar bangla’ (golden Bengal) if it won the assembly elections.

The BJP-led central government has not fulfilled any promise, he said. “If this party (BJP) comes to power, Bengal will definitely sink in Gange because all the programs and projects of the central government have failed and to no avail,” Roy said.

TMC MP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who criticized the demonetisation ban, said that in 2016, black money was returned to the country by Rs 15 lakh to each person’s bank account. He said, ‘What happened to those promises? There has been a steady decline in GDP growth.

Unemployment is high when withdrawing money from ATMs, and more than 100 people have lost their lives, he said. 15 lakhs in people’s bank accounts. Roy said that Home Minister Amit Shah had also said that it was a matter of putting up. “Similarly, all the promises of the Modi government have proved to be Jumla,” he said.
