The price of mustard seed has increased by Rs 50 per quintal due to increased demand in the Delhi oil and oilseeds market, but soybean meal exports (DOC) and soybean seed prices have improved due to local demand for poultry farms. Other edible oils, such as peanuts, CPM and palmolin, were trading modestly amid normal trading. According to oil industry expert Pawan Kumar Gupta, there is a huge export demand for soybean meal (DOC). He said that due to the good support of sunflowers and olives in the market, there was a huge increase in the demand for maize refined oil which has shown an improvement in its prices.

According to other oil industry experts, there is little influx of mustard on the knees and farmers are bringing their produce to Mandis. The capital’s Najafgarh Mandi has 20,000 bags of mustard per day, which is reduced to 1,000-1,200 bags per day.
