Tokyo Olympics: Japan takes more stringent measures to combat the corona virus

With three more months to go before the Olympic Games begin, Japan is ready to take more steps to stop the spread of the rapidly spreading new type of corona virus. Emergency measures were approved by government committee experts, including some stringent orders for Tokyo, western Japan’s Kyoto and South Island Okinawa.

Prime Minister Yoshihida Suga can announce measures that will be implemented Monday, which will go into effect in early May. Most people in Tokyo have not yet received the vaccine. The Olympic Games will start from July 23.
