TVS Motor Company, the country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, today launched its famous electric scooter TVS iQube in the domestic market in another city. The scooter, which is being offered at various stages, has now been launched in Pune. Its price here is 1,10,898 (on-road). This price includes the FAME II project and the grant from the Maharashtra Government.
Recently, the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) made some major amendments to the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Production (FAM II) project. In this direction, the notification has been issued by the department, under which the subsidy for electric two-wheelers will be Rs 15,000 per kilowatt.
So far, the TVS iQube Electric Scooter is available for sale in Delhi and Bangalore only. Last May, the company announced that it would soon launch the scooter in 20 other cities across the country. The scooter was launched in the domestic market early last year and is scheduled to be launched nationwide.

The company used a 4.4 kW electric motor on the new TVS iQube electric scooter. The scooter delivers a range of up to 75 km on a single charge and speeds of up to 78 km / h. This scooter is capable of capturing speeds up to 40 kilometers per hour in just 4.2 seconds. It uses a 2.25kWh capacity lithium-ion battery pack.

The company has prepared this scooter on a special Smart Connect platform. It also features an advanced TFT cluster and connectivity feature. The scooter can also be connected to a mobile app that gives drivers information such as geo-fencing, remote battery charger status, navigation assist, last parking space, incoming call / message.
The company is offering a 3-year or 50,000-kilometer warranty with TVS iQube. It takes about 5 hours to fully charge. The scooter will soon be launched in other cities across the country. In the market, this scooter competes directly with Bajaj Chetak and Athar’s scooters.
