UAE: Municipal action against 13,000 ‘virgins’ living in Sharjah residential areas

In Sharjah, UAE, the municipal corporation has taken major action against graduation. The Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) has evacuated 13,000 virgins from residential areas, exclusively for families. The move was made on Friday last week.

According to Sharjah Municipal Director General Khaleej Times, Thabit al-Turafi confirmed this. There had been a long campaign in Sharjah and authorities had inspected the area about 3,000 times.

Graduates who have been living illegally in several residential buildings in Sharjah have been evacuated. These buildings are scheduled to be occupied only by family members. Turafi said the campaign is going to get bigger in the future.

SCM completed the operation in collaboration with Sharjah Police, Sharjah Electricity and Gas Authority.
