Opportunity to change post priority
The board has the option to change the post preference before the test. The Board has issued a notice on its official website uppbpb.gov.in. The Board stated that all applicants (prison warders, firefighters, and constable cavalry police) will be assigned posts based on the superiority and preference of their marks (merit lower order priority). Such candidates are required to choose their preferred ranks for three posts, including prison warders for women and men, firefighters (men) and constable mounted police. Candidates can change their preferred order until December 10, 2020 for the board’s website uppbpb.gov.in.

If the candidates do not choose a preferential order by December 10, 2020, the priority order of the posts determined by the Board shall be – 1. Fireman. 2. Prison Warder 3. Constable Mounted Police.

Total blank
The recruitment includes 3638 posts of prison warders (3012 men and 628 women), 102 posts of constable mounted police and 2085 firefighters in the fire department. These posts were advertised in 2016 and online application forms are invited. Successful candidates for the written test are called for the Examination of Documents and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). A merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination of successful candidates in PET.
