UPSC CAPF 2020:UPSC to release notification for Central Armed Police Force Exam 2020, exam to be held on December 20

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the notification tomorrow for the Central Armed Police Force (Assistant Commandant) Examination 2020. The Commission will issue a notification of UPSC CAPF 2020 on its official website upsc.gov.in. UPSC CAPF 2020 applications will also start with the release of Assistant Commandant Exam 2020 notification. The last date of application has been set 7 September 2020.

Examination will be held on 20 December

At the same time, according to the recently released Revised Exam Calendar 2020 by UPSC, the UPSC CAPF 2020 (Assistant Commandant) examination will be held on 20 December. The Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination is conducted by the UPSC every year for recruitment to the Assistant Commandant (Group A) in various forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

These forces include the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Last year, 323 vacancies of Assistant Commandants were recruited through the UPSC CAPF exam.

Eligibility

Candidates desirous of appearing in the UPSC CAPF (Assistant Commandant) Examination must have passed a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or institute or have equivalent qualification. In addition, the candidate should have completed 20 years of age on 1 August 2020 and the candidate should not have been born before 02 August 1995 and after 1 August 2000. However, the Commission has also made a provision for relaxation in the maximum age limit for the candidates of various reserved categories.
