The five-match Test series between India and England will start on August 4. Prior to this Test series, the good news for Team India was that wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant returned to the team after recovering from Kovid-19. Pant joined Team India on July 22 and had a grand reception. Pant was greeted by a team wearing a necklace. Head coach Ravi Shastri’s tweet about Pant’s return is going viral. Pant has been in good form for some time and the team’s management have high hopes from him on the England tour. The final of the ICC World Test Championship between India and New Zealand ended on June 23, with Team India taking a 21-22 day break. During this hiatus, the pant was found to be positive on the Kovid-19 test.
All members of Team India gathered in Durham on July 15-16 to prepare for England. Pant joins the Bio Bubble team after completing his separation and returning to the RTPCR test negatively. Upon his return to Pant, Ravi Shastri wrote, ‘Kovid’s return is back. Amazing, the noise is high in the dressing room. Shastri’s fans trolled him in this tweet.

Before the Test series between India and England, a three-day warm-up match was played between County Select XI and Team India. Rishabh Pant could not participate in this practice match. Wriddhiman Saha has not joined the team yet. In the practice match, KL Rahul has strengthened his right to a place in the XI. Pant gets into practice now, whether he plays in the first Test or not, it is very difficult to say anything at the moment.
