When Dhoni himself drove the team bus from the ground to Nagpur hotel, Laxman narrated the story

Former captain of the Indian cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni is also known as ‘Captain Cool’. VVS Laxman recalled the Test in Star Sports’ Cricket Connected, when Dhoni himself drove a bus to Nagpur to the hotel in the 2008 series against Australia. He said, “Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the captain of the team after Anil Kumble retired in 2008 in Delhi. Dhoni asked the driver to sit back and take the bus to the hotel.

He added, “We were all surprised to see this. The captain of Team India was driving the bus. He enjoyed life in this way. As a cricketer, he used to do everything on the field, but off the field he was quite normal. ”

Laxman also mentioned the anecdote when Dhoni hit his second century in Faisalabad against Pakistan. After this century, Dhoni joked in the dressing room that he was going to retire from Test cricket.

Laxman said, “I still remember that Dhoni said loudly that he is going to retire from Test cricket. He said that I hit Hundred in the test, man. I want nothing more than this in Test cricket. We were all shocked to hear this, but have always been like this. ”

Since then, there was a lot of speculation about Dhoni’s retirement and future.
