Will Pakistan be on FATF’s black list this time? Funding for terrorism is still ongoing

Pakistan is not improving despite the FATF’s gray list of sustained economic activity. He is not aware of the restrictions imposed on him, terrorist organizations and his financial funding continues to grow in the country. However, Pakistan is once again in danger of being included in the FATF black list. If this happens, Pakistan, which is already struggling with the economic crisis, will be attracted to every pie.

The Greek City Times reported it. According to the news, terrorist organizations like Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Jaish-e-Mohammed are running in Pakistan without any fear.

The FATF was created in 1989. Many countries are members of it. The purpose of this organization is to keep the international financial system switched on. It prohibits its member states from engaging in activities such as terrorism financing and money laundering.

FATF member states will convene next month and may consider Pakistan’s gray list status at the time. Tell us that Pakistan is on the gray list from 2018, which means it is being monitored.

According to a report from the Greek City Times, FATF President Marcus Player said at a review meeting in October last year that Pakistan’s efforts to counter terrorism had serious drawbacks. He said he had given Pakistan some time to overcome these shortcomings and that he could not always wait for Pakistan to improve.

“The extent to which we can see that Pakistan’s action against terrorism is swift is not enough,” the player said. We give Pakistan some time but we do not always do so.

If Pakistan does not take action on its current commitment to curb terrorism, the FATF team can go to Islamabad and check it.

If Pakistan remains on the FATF’s gray list or blacklisted, it will be difficult to obtain funding from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank and the European Union.
