However, the bat of the Indian captain is silent on the long form of cricket. Virat has not scored a century with the bat since November 2019.

Virat was in the best shape of his career between 2016 and 2018. Kohli has scored 3596 runs in 25 Tests during this period and his average is 75.33 in 2016, 75.64 in 2017 and 55.08 in 2018. But, if we talk about Virat’s performance from 2019 till date, he wasn’t very happy. Since the start of 2019, the Indian captain has played 14 Tests in which he has scored less than 1000 runs. Kohli’s bat is hitting 612 in 2019, 116 in 2020 and 172 this year. Virat, who has scored centuries at one time, has not scored a single century since November 2019.

Even on foreign ground, Virat has not been able to show anything special since the beginning of 2020. Apart from his 74 in the Adelaide Test against Australia, Kohli has not exceeded 20 runs in five innings. Since 2020, Virat’s average in home Test matches is 19.33. Kohli has scored only 116 runs in 6 innings during this period and only one half century has come off his bat. Nowadays, it is clear that Kohli’s record in Test cricket is not special. However, India will definitely expect a big innings from Virat in the final of the WTC.
