Yeddyurappa government gift to women for child care in Karnataka

The Yeddyurappa government in Karnataka has announced a six-month leave for women’s children. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa presented the Budget 2021-22 on Monday, saying that the state government has proposed six months’ leave for women working in the state to look after a newborn.

Under the Sanjeevani Scheme, the state government has announced the support of Panchayati Raj institutions for setting up 6,000 micro enterprises through rural women’s self help groups. This will benefit 60,000 women in the state.

The government has also proposed marketing support for women’s self-help groups and women entrepreneurs by organizing annual fairs at the Mandal level. The e-marketing facility will also be implemented.

Vanitha Sangha has announced a Rs. She proposed to examine various laws and regulations in terms of getting women employment. Along with this it is also proposed to include women’s budget and child welfare budget into the Panchayati Raj system.

Yeddyurappa announced plans to install 7,500 cameras in public places under the Safe Cities Project. Technology based system will be promoted to increase night vigil in the city.
