Younis Khan made it clear, he did not leave the post of batting coach because of Hasan Ali

Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has tarnished reports that he has stepped down from the national team’s batting coach following an altercation with Hasan Ali. However, Eunice declined to disclose the real reasons for his decision, citing contractual obligations. Younis had resigned a few days ago, but neither he nor the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gave any explanation. Later media reports said that Younis did it because of knee pain after an argument with Ali about an ‘ice bath’ after training.

In an interview with ‘Jung’, Younis said, ‘It is clear that the incident with Hasan Ali was not the reason for his decision to step down as a batting coach. The entire episode was presented with exaggeration. He said, ‘Yes, coach Yasir Malik told him to talk to Hasan Ali and to convince him that he should take an ice bath’. An argument followed this, but then Hassan apologized and the matter was over.

Eunice said his resignation was a different reason, but he is committed to a deal with the PCB, which will not allow him to speak on the issue for six months. “In the interest of Pakistan Cricket and PCB, I have not yet responded to this and our team is touring England too,” he said. Younis said some in the PCB had broken faith and leaked material and damaged their reputation.
