Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reached Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Tuesday to learn about the health of Union Minister Sripad Nayak. After meeting Nayak, Rajnath Singh said that Sripad Nayak is currently in danger. The defense minister said that PM Narendra Modi was upset over Minister Nayak’s injuries in a road accident. On Monday night, Sripad Nayak’s SUV fell victim to a road accident in Karnataka in which he was seriously injured. His wife and assistant died in the accident.
The defense minister said that he had also spoken with Goa CM Pramod Sawant. He said, ‘The PM has also spoken with CM Sawant. After this he called me and expressed his grief and asked me to come here (Goa). I was thinking the same. Sripad Nayak is still stable. Doctors say he is currently out of danger. Nayak underwent several surgeries at GMCH last night. An official said the minister’s condition was stable. Nayak (68) underwent surgery for fractures of both the hand and one leg.
Rajnath Singh said the doctors had spoken to the director of AIMS Delhi. The team of doctors will be here. If necessary, they will be brought to Delhi for treatment. It depends on the doctor. Nayak, the BJP MP for North Goa and the current Union Defense and AYUSH State Minister, was taken to GMC near Panaji in serious condition.
Singh arrived at the INS Hansa home in Goa on a special flight and left for GMCH around 2.40 am, where Nayak is receiving treatment.
Nayak’s wife Vijaya and her aides have died in a car accident. The accident occurred when the minister was returning to Goa from Karnataka’s pilgrimage near Ankola in Uttara Kannada district.

From NH 66, his car set off on a thin road in the direction of take a shortcut to Gokarna. The condition of the road has deteriorated and the driver has no control over the car.
