It reports that the total number of infected persons in the country has increased to 10880603 after 9309 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the country. According to ministry data, 15858 people have been cured of the disease in the last 24 hours across the country, after which the number of people infected has increased to 10589230. The national rate of recovery of infected people is 97.32 per cent.

So far 7505010 people have been vaccinated in the country, out of which 5814976 are health workers and 1690034 are pre-operatives. It is the first country in the world to receive 7 million vaccinations in a short time, it said. 87 people have died in the last 24 hours. 75.86 percent of these deaths occurred in six states. Maharashtra has seen the highest number of 25 deaths in the last 24 hours, while Kerala has seen 16 deaths.
