Center speaks to Maharashtra government – Lockdown and night curfew not effective in stopping corona spread

The central government’s decision to impose lockdown and night curfew in some cities is said to be a limited step to curb corona. In a letter to CS in Maharashtra, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday that measures like nighttime health curfew and lockdown have very limited impact on the spread of the virus. The health ministry has urged the Maharashtra government to strengthen its ongoing strategy for the state’s containment sector. The letter was written by the health ministry after the central team visited Vidarbha.

In a letter to the Maharashtra government, the central government said there was a need to expedite the investigation of coronavirus transmission and strengthen surveillance of active cases in active container zones. The government says at least 20-30 people need to be diagnosed after finding a corona patient in the state.

The home should check individual patients
Furthermore, those who are Corona Positive will need to check for home isolation. The central government has informed the Maharashtra government that the antigen test kit should be used fast in areas such as state bus stops, slums and railway stations.

The Maharashtra Health Minister also urged the people
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Monday said that people should follow the Kovid-19 guidelines as lockdown is not the only solution to curb the rise in cases in the state. Tope said sanctions are being tightened and he urged people to cooperate strictly with the rules.
