Union Minister of Education Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal inaugurated the Anandam: Happiness Center at IIM Jammu by videoconferencing here today.
Dr. Nishank said, “In today’s dynamic world, we face new challenges every day, especially with the new challenges posed by an infectious disease like coronavirus. Everyone, especially students, needs to focus on their own mental health. Based on happiness or happiness in IIM Jammu, the center is fully dedicated to psychological well-being.

He said, “During the Kovid period, we launched the Surrender Initiative to look after the mental health and mental wellbeing of not only students but also teachers and families and to provide them with psychosocial support.

In addition, he also described the achievements of the organization after the establishment of IIM Jammu and said that IIM Jammu is the youngest of all IIM institutions and apart from striving for academic excellence, learners are committed to overall development. The institute has made Jammu a major center of education and has been actively involved in various projects initiated by the central government.
Commenting on the central government’s commitment to the development of Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Minister said, “The Government of India has prioritized education in the formation and development of Jammu and Kashmir under which many efforts have been made to strengthen education. Is gone. The Government of India has established and commissioned four new business colleges in Safapora, Kathua and Poonch and one in Jammu. To ensure access and equity of educational facilities in this entire Union Territory, 50 new Government Degree Colleges have been opened in the open areas of Jammu and Kashmir for the year 2018. These include 26 Degree Colleges in Jammu and 24 Degree Colleges in Kashmir. New initiatives have been launched in colleges by providing IT enabled classrooms, libraries automation, e-learning, and digital interactive boards in this regard, managing the digital index of books in 54 colleges. Soon, through these initiatives, every person in Jammu and Kashmir will be given quality education. ”
