Cairo: The site of mummy mummies is no stranger to ancient coffins in Egypt. But this time archaeologists have opened a mummy’s coffin in front of the public.

Archaeologists have unearthed a 2,500-year-old mummy coffin found in Sakkara in front of the public.

A total of 59 antique coffins were found last year at Sakkara, the first of which was opened. The box has an ancient carcass in very safe condition.

Egypt’s Department of Tourism and Archeology has released a video about a 2,500-year-old mummy’s video that is now viral.

Sakkara is a vast, ancient cemetery in Egypt that served as the necropolis of the ancient city of Memphis. A large number of mummies’ coffins have been found in the area.

It is estimated that the mummy in the present wooden coffin may have belonged to an ancient Egyptian priest or prestigious community.

The mummy coffin will now be shipped to the Giza Museum in Egypt, the Department of Agriculture said.

Greg Lewis, New Zealand’s ambassador to Egypt, was also present when the mummy was removed.

Greg Lewis, who tweeted about the event, shared that it was an honor to be involved in such a rare event.
