Election Bench in West Bengal The Trinamool Congress-led government has launched its biggest communications campaign on Tuesday, in view of the Assembly elections in 2021. Over the last ten years, the campaign has been launched to reach people and complain about policies and development activities initiated by the TMC government. About a dozen government programs and complaints relating to its beneficiaries or abandoned beneficiaries will be heard under the Duare Sarkar scheme, a senior official in the state said.

For this purpose, at least four camps will be set up in every village and civic body in all 344 blocks of the state between December 1 and January 29. People can come to these camps and help government officials use various government facilities including MNREGA job card, health card and caste certificate.

The Mamata Banerjee government has already directed the Bangladesh aid centers to shepherd the district. Through this, people can easily get free information about all types of government projects. A senior official said, “The state government has deployed more than 6800 people in 3400 centers to inform the public about the state’s plans and facilities and help them reach out.”

BJP told Election Stunt

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized the state for its bold government plan and called it an election tactic. He said it was a government program or a communications campaign launched by TMC before the election.

Let me tell you, the ruling TMC will face a tough challenge from the BJP in the upcoming elections. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 40% of the votes and won 18 of the state’s 42 seats.
