Governor Dhankar expressed concern over the attack
West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar on Thursday said he was concerned about the attack on BJP President JP Nadda’s convoy and said the state administration had failed to take action despite his warnings. The governor said in a tweet that the chief secretary and the general secretary of police had been warned at 8.19 am and 9.05 am, that the law and order situation could be raised at the BJP meeting in Diamond Harbor. Dhankhar wrote in a tweet that the Chief Secretary had been informed that the Director General of Police had been warned and conveyed accordingly. “This incident marks the complete failure of the legal authority,” he said in a series of tweets. Alleging that the police did not stop the attack, Dhankhar said, “This time public servant Diamond Harbor to work for the Superintendent of Police.”
