The Farmers’ Movement at the Delhi border against the new agrarian laws will take 100 days to complete, but there is no way to end it. Farmers sitting on Singh’s border have announced that they will intensify the agitation. Farmer organizations have decided to stage a protest on the KMP Express Highway on March 6 from 11 am to 5 pm. Various programs will be held from March 06 across the country. More young people are being added. Fans, coolers and ACs are being installed in the movement area to deal with the heat. In addition, drinking water, hababil and cane juice are arranged. Farmers have installed borewells at the protest site.
Singu Toll Plaza Closed: On GT Karnal Road, the police have already barricaded the road from Delhi and closed the route. The road from the center of the Singu Border village to Kondli Ppost is now closed with cement barricades. From here, only pedestrian and two-wheeler riders are allowed. Four other wheelers, including cars, have been given the route from Jonti Toll to GT Karnal Road. On their way to the village of Singh, villagers have dug two places to supply water to the fields. Due to the road being closed, the people of the surrounding villages and the millions who use the GT road are facing problems.
Passion intact: The enthusiasm of the farmers is on display. Here a group of youths were seen marching and shouting slogans. The elders were seen walking with banners in their hands. Women were seen coming from villages like Jind, Karnal, Sonipat and Haryana in traditional attire. Farmer leaders were urging more and more people, especially the youth, to gather at the protest site, telling the strategy ahead.
Exercise to get support from inside Delhi
Efforts are on to get support for the peasant movement within Delhi. For this purpose, the Kisan Mazdur Morcha of Delhi was created. There is also a plan to run a mahapanchayat in different parts of Delhi through this front. On March 8, the Kisan Social Army will hold a candle march at Jantar Mantar. This will focus on the issues of the people and pay tribute to the martyrs during the peasant movement.
Blockade preparations on the KMP Expressway
On March 06, a five-hour blockade of various picketing sites will be carried out on the KMP Expressway. The road will be narrowed from 11 am to 4 pm. The toll plaza is also cleared here.
Opposition to government in electoral states
Anti-government protests will be held in states where elections are to be held. March 8 will be celebrated as Women’s Farmer’s Day. On March 8, women will hold all United Farmers’ Front positions in the country. On this day only women perform the stage and also the speakers. United Kisan Morcha invited women’s organizations and others that day. Farmers supported the anti-privatization day on March 15 at the call of the central trade unions. Farmers will celebrate this day as an anti-corporate day.
