Indian Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikite said on Wednesday that agitated farmers want no power change at the center but want to solve their problems. Farmer leaders will visit different parts of the country to spread the movement, he said. Tikit, who had previously said that the police should have shot and killed those who put religious flags on the Red Fort, is saying today that it is not treason and that young people are being involved.

Speaking to farmers on the Siku border, Tikit said the movement against the three new agrarian laws will continue until the center addresses the problems of farmers. He said, “We have no aim of power change (at the center). The government must do its job. We want to repeal the agricultural laws and the law on the MSP.” The leaders of the Indian Kisan Union said, “The government must speak.

Referring to the Red Fort incident, Tikite said the youth were involved in putting up religious flags. He said, “What streams are charged for flagging of unapproved places? They put out floods, register a case. What did you commit? The Red Fort incident was a government conspiracy to end the agitation and reduce the morale of the peasants.

He said that the unity of the United Peasantry is intact and the government should not be deluded. Tikite said, “Who says the United Farmers’ Front is dispersed? Our United Platform will not be divided or the faction will be scattered. Tikite said peasant leaders would visit different states to spread the movement.

He said, “Don’t worry, we are winning. Farmers across the country are looking at you and the 300km area around Delhi. “The new agrarian laws not only destroy agriculture and agriculture, but also eliminate the country’s small businessmen and ordinary people. The movement is completely non-political and no political party will get the opportunity to pursue its vested interests,” he said.
