Bangalore: A special postal envelope containing the dollop of Channapatna was released on Thursday at the city’s headquarters in the wake of World Stamp Day.

At the request of the Post Crossing Society of India, Chief Post Master General Sharada Sampath released the toys envelope of the 11 states of the country, including the doll of Channapatnam in Karnataka under the slogan ‘India toys’.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the 151st World Postal Day is being celebrated differently.

Amateur postal collector DB Ramakrishna, who earned a Ph.D degree from Indian Postcards, was congratulated on the occasion.
