Delhi Police Commissioner S.N. Srivastava has ordered police personnel not to place unnecessary police pickets during peak hours. This leads to traffic jams and other emergency vehicle traffic.

According to an official order issued on Dec. 25, a temporary traffic barrier will cause major traffic congestion by police for road inspections. Because of this, the public gets into trouble and obstructs the movement of emergency equipment.

The farmer movement has completed one month, protesting farmers will celebrate Dhikar Day today

In the order issued by the Commissioner of Police, it was decided that for the convenience of the public, police pickets and barricades should not be kept until maximum orders from senior officers.

The order states that whenever such pickets are placed, a long jam will result from inspection. In such a situation the traffic should be kept going by reducing the picket. Normally this jam should not exceed 6-7 meters.
