Admission to the School of Open Learning (SOL) at Delhi University (DU) is closed. Monday was the last date for admission. This is the first time that the application deadline for the School of Open Learning is due. The DU SOL Administration and Admissions Committee has requested to extend its date.

According to data from the DU, there were about 81,000 as of Monday evening. The maximum number of BA programs available is only three thousand in English. Enrollment is significantly lower compared to last year. He has written to the University Grants Commission (UGC) in charge of SOL seeking an extension of the admission date. Last year 1 lakh 41 thousand students were enrolled in SOL. This time, the enrollment is low and the SOL administration is saying that there is less time for entry. Admission is only from October 9 to November 30. There was more time than before. The new session of SOL will start from December 15 and the exams will be held in March next year.

Now one more cutoff entry
There is one more cutoff entry on the DU regular course. If students with lower scores are not included in the seventh cutoff, then they have no SOL option. Therefore, DU has requested to extend the application date in the interest of the student.

Greater admission into the BA program
Speaking of courses, a maximum of 46 thousand 61 students are enrolled in the BA program. 17,031 students in Bikam, 9607 in political science honors, 6391 students in Bikam honors. The minimum entry is in English. As of Monday evening, 2959 students have deposited and confirmed their admission.

Students who do not ignore the date are ignored
Speaking to Admissions Coordinator at DU SOL, Prof. JM Kuntiya said, “Most underprivileged government schools are enrolling in SOL. Their financial condition is not good because of the Koran. In such a situation, giving them less time to apply is unheard of. We therefore request to extend the SOL entry date.
