The United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has appealed to the ruling BJP BJP-JJP alliance legislators to vote in favor of the Haryana government in the Haryana Assembly on March 10. The SKM’s appeal for the agitation of farmers’ unions against the new agrarian laws at the center is set for a no-confidence motion against the BJP-JJP government on Wednesday.
Dr. Krishnan, a senior farmer leader of Punjab and a prominent member of United Kisan Morcha (SKM). Darshan Pal, in a video appeal released to farmers and residents of Haryana on Sunday, said the farmers and other residents of the BJP, JJP MLAs, should be contacted at their homes and offices.
He said that you should put pressure on BJP and JJP legislators especially since the Center does not agree with the demands of farmers and has been silent for more than a month. On March 10, a no-confidence motion against the Haryana government is being brought in the state assembly, he said.
Darshan Paul said that we would send a letter to take and vote for the MLAs in favor of the no-confidence motion so that the people of the Qatar government know what they stand for and what government will oppose.
Peasant leaders should talk to the government: Dushyant
Meanwhile, when asked to comment on the SKM move, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said farmers leaders should hold talks with the government to resolve the issue. Chautala, referring to the Kisan Mahapanchayats hosted by peasant leaders over the past one month, seems to be undermining their leadership at borders and other forums in the country.
Congress decided last month to bring a resolution against the state government in the budget session of the assembly, which begins on Friday, alleging that dissent was heard among lawmakers supporting the government.
Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda has said that the no-confidence motion will tell the people which legislators are standing with the government and which legislators are standing with the farmers.
Initially, the Congress wanted to pass a no-confidence motion on March 5 on the first day of the budget session, but its appeal was rejected by Assembly Speaker Jnana Chand Gupta and he set March 10 for it.
