Pakistan has sought help from India

The Dawn News reports that the Ministry of Textile Industry has sought permission from the Cabinet of Economic Relations Committee (ECC) to lift the ban on the importation of cotton and cotton yarn from India. According to an official, we requested the ECC in writing a week before the ban was lifted. He said the coordination committee’s decision would be placed before the federal cabinet for formal formal approval. The Prime Minister has approved the application to the ECI in charge of the Ministry of Commerce and Textiles. Due to low cotton production in Pakistan, the import of cotton from India has opened up.

Pakistan bans imports
The textile industry in Pakistan has been relieved as the Pakistani government lifted the ban on imports from India. It should be able to get cheap raw materials. Currently, cotton and yarn are allowed in Pakistan from all countries except India. India removed the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, then Pakistan cut off all business ties with India. Due to the shortage of cotton and yarn, Pakistani traders had to import cotton from the United States, Brazil and Uzbekistan.

Pakistan gets cheap imports from India
Import of cotton from India is very cheap for Pakistani businessmen. It will reach Pakistan in three to four days. Importing cotton yarn from other countries is not expensive, it takes one to two months to reach Pakistan.
