Schools open in UP from February 10, children get lunch, canteen is closed

Schools from 1st to 8th grade in Uttar Pradesh are starting from 10th February. The UP government has issued guidelines on this. These include the Council and the Upper Primary Schools and all private elementary schools. According to the guideline, 50 per cent of students attend each class and all children will be given midday meal. However, the school canteen is closed during this period.

According to the UP government guidelines, class days are allotted. 6th grade students go to school on Monday and Thursday, 7th grade students on Tuesday and Friday, and 8th grade students on Wednesday and Saturday. Similarly, 1st and 5th grade students go to school on Monday and Thursday, 2nd and 4th grade Tuesdays and Fridays, and 3rd grade Wednesdays and Saturdays. Students are allowed to study at the school only after written consent from the parents. 6th to 8th grade schools will be open from 10th February and 1st to 5th grade from March 1st.

In the instructions sent to all district judges, it is made clear that the school management committee and teachers are responsible for accidental security when the school opens. Where there are a large number of students, classes are conducted in 2-2 grades. Computer class, library, laboratory etc. are used as class if the class is small.

The meal will be served at noon, the canteen will not open
Midday meals will be served at government and aided schools. The students are washed with soap and the distance is kept before dispensing. After hand washing, it is prompted to air dry rather than wiping. The school canteen will remain closed. Selling outdoor food items at school is prevented.

These instructions are also-
– All awards must be discouraged for maximum attendance
– The school assembly is only in the classrooms
– There is no program in school
– All protocols for Kovid 19 must be followed.
– Posters of swatches, masks, security, etc. shall be placed on the notice board
– Alternative arrangements for study should be made for non-school children
