Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said on Friday that the opposition parties are calling for three black laws aimed at increasing the income of farmers, but nobody has so far said what is ‘black’ in these laws. Agriculture Minister Tomar, who intervened in the debate on the motion of thanks in the Rajya Sabha during the President’s speech, said that these laws are constantly being labeled “black laws” by farmers’ organizations and opposition parties, but so far no one has said what is black in these laws.

The three agrarian reform laws are a fiery issue at the moment, and opposition members did not care about the government and called these laws a black law. He said, but for two months I would like to tell the farmer associations what is black in law. Say (a) then? I tried to fix it, but I didn’t know where.

Significantly, farmers have been campaigning on the Delhi border for nearly two and a half months demanding the repeal of all three agricultural laws. They say these laws end the knee-jerk system and they rely on the mercy of large corporate bodies. On the other hand, the government argues that these laws, brought in by the interests of the farmers, increase the income of the farmers.
