12 leaders including Upendra Kushwaha and Ashok Chaudhary to become members of Bihar Vidhan Sabha

A list of the 12 positions to be filled by the governor’s quota has been released on Wednesday. After the merger of the RLSP with the JDU, Upendra Kushwaha, the chairman of the party’s parliamentary board of chief minister Nitish Kumar, will become a member of the Vidhan Sabha. It was expected that Upendra Kushwaha’s wife would become an MLC, but on Wednesday the JD named six of its MLCs to take up half of the Raj Bhavan quota. Upendra Kushwaha is also named in this list. Ministers Ashok Chaudhary, Sanjay Singh, Sanjay Gandhi, Lalon Sarraf and Rambhash Rai are also included in the list.

Ashok Chaudhary, Janak Ram, Upendra Kushwaha, Professor Ram Vawana Rai, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Lalon Kumar Saraf, Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Sanjay Singh, Devesh Kumar, Dr. Pramod Kumar, Ghanshyam Thakur and Nivedita Singh.

Earlier on Tuesday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was given the power to elect 12 legislative councilors (MLCs) from the governor’s quota.
