The man downloaded the Bitcoin App from the Apple App Store, which is a fake app. By using it, the person lost crores of rupees.

According to a Washington Post report, a man named Philip Christodoulou had to check his Bitcoin balance, so he found an app called Treasure in the App Store. They saw an app with the same Treasure logo and the background color was the same as the original app. Philip unexpectedly downloaded the app and recorded his details. Before the app was found to be genuine or fake, they had lost their savings of 6 million (about Rs 4.3 crore).

Explain that Treasure Bitcoin is a popular platform for account information and trading. The design of the duplicate Treasure App downloaded by Philip is very similar to the original application.
