Many opposition parties have also targeted the central government, due to the halt of 4G mobile internet service in the state.

Recently, National Conference President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah had targeted PM Modi for 4G mobile internet service in the state. He had said that the Prime Minister is talking about 5G internet service in India soon, but 4G mobile internet is not being made available to people in Jammu and Kashmir. He had said that if the Prime Minister stays in Jammu and Kashmir, he will know how the people here are surrounded by problems with the 2G mobile internet mobile service.
