Police in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat have arrested a teenager who abducted a seven-year-old child of a neighbor. Kishore had demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh to free the child. Deputy Superintendent of Police KT Kamaria said that the incident took place on Tuesday evening and after receiving information about it, 50 policemen launched a campaign to free the child.

After finding the baby, the 17-year-old accused was trapped in a railway gate on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday morning. The accused was originally from Uttarakhand and was working in a factory here. The accused took a scooter from a neighbor on Tuesday evening in an attempt to turn his neighbor’s child.

She called a neighbor with her mobile phone, claiming that some people had abducted her and her baby. In addition, in a voice message sent to the father of the child, the accused Kishore demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh to free the child by changing the tone of the speech. Kishore told the child’s father not to tell the police about this, otherwise he would kill the child. The father of the child is a shopkeeper in Wahalal village in the district.
