For the first time since US President Donald Trump imposed a permanent ban, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has broken his silence on the controversial move, saying he is not proud of the move. This is because of the failure of the microblogging site to promote the right content. But it was the right decision for Twitter.
In response to the decision, Jack wrote that the action was taken after a clear warning and with good information for physical safety on and off Twitter. But now that the tech company’s move has led to a debate about freedom of expression, he responded.
“We are not proud to ban Trump from Twitter. We take this action after a clear warning. We have decided on the basis of threats with good information. Is that correct?”
Following the horrific violence at the US Capitol, social media giants such as Twitter have announced that US President Donald Trump will close their accounts for a few hours. However, Facebook announced that it will suspend the Trump account indefinitely, and now on Saturday, the microblogic site Twitter has permanently closed the Trump Trump account.
