A special cell of Delhi Police has arrested 50 thousand Wanted Iqbal Singh, accused of inflicting harassment at the Red Fort during a farmers’ tractor rally on Republic Day.
Special Cell DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said Iqbal Singh was from Ludhiana. He was involved in provoking the public on January 26 in Delhi. He had been visiting the Singu border since November 2020. On January 26, they reached the Red Fort with a mob. There was no dialogue between Iqbal Singh and Deep Sidhu.
The Delhi Police’s Northern Range Team arrested Iqbal Singh of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, on Tuesday night, the DPC said. A prize of Rs 50,000 was announced on him. Deep Sidhu has been arrested by a special cell from Karnal in Haryana on Monday.

Last week, the police announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh for informers about Deep Sidhu, Jugaraj Singh, Gurjot Singh and Gurjant Singh. In addition, the police had announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for information on Jazbir Singh, Buta Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Iqbal Singh.
It is worth noting that the farmers held a tractor parade on January 26 to support the demand of the farmers’ organizations to repeal the center’s three new agricultural laws. During this time there were violent clashes with their police and some protesters reached the Red Fort. They had the flags of the peasant organizations and the religious flags on the ramparts of the Red Fort.
