Half the rights of the population

This phenomenon will be fifty years after two years. That was from 1973. A woman came to Prime Minister Indira Gandhi with her husband to contest the election. The then prime minister was impressed by his confidence and a few weeks later the Congress issued a ticket for the assembly elections from the backward Uttar Pradesh district. Until then she had no idea what difficulties she would face in order to achieve her goal. Going for the election campaign, only the youth or elders of the family had to be seated in their jeeps. Before dusk, he had to return to his hideout, where the family eagerly awaited him. Despite this, the heat of the spots burned him. Being a woman, she had only one privilege to enter someone’s home during the election campaign and reach out to the women in the pardon. On voting day, people were amazed to see women using their franchise more than ever before. The woman could not win the election, but for the first time since 1952, Congress was able to save the bail at the mercy of female voters. It was just a comforting spotlight in the desperate atmosphere of defeat. Since then, time has changed a lot. Without going too far, let’s look at the Bihar election results. In this sensitive state, 54.45 male voters voted in the province, while women voted 59.69 percent. This is certainly less than 0.79 percent of the time, although it has contributed immensely to the structure of government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking to workers at the BJP headquarters after the Bihar polls, said: “There is such a section of dumb voters in the BJP, they are voting again and again and they are constantly voting.
This is because as soon as Narendra Modi joined the government in 2014, the Ujwala, directly linked to housewives, implemented schemes like home-to-house toilets, bank accounts and free pregnancy treatment. This is also due to his portrayal of an honest and hard-working politician. Women have been proven to be reliable voters of the BJP in the last elections, but the West Bengal elections will be a test for them.
The big reason to say this is that around 3.5 crore women voters in Bengal are able to play a big role there. A woman chief minister has been ruling there for the past 10 years and she is well aware of the importance of women’s power in elections. Though the BJP won 18 seats in the 2019 general election, Mamata Banerjee allowed women to seek power in 40 per cent of the seats. After a poor performance in 2019, he formed a subsidiary called ‘Bang Janani Vahini’ in Trinamool Congress. This woman’s brigade takes the streets of Mamata’s home as necessary to explain her policies. Trinamool has nine women MPs in the Lok Sabha. They are often allowed to speak. Mahua Moitra’s speech reached the Lok Sabha for the first time thanking the President’s speech. The example of a well-thought-out political strategy is to allow Mahua to replace senior members such as Saugata Roy on such a serious matter. However, Mamata Banerjee is known for providing electoral opportunities for women, from Gram Panchayat to the country’s largest panchayat. They have endeavored to strengthen this ‘Vote Bank’ by issuing health cards in the name of Kanyashree Project, Roopashree Project, Group Partner, Mukti Ralo, Maternity Child Care and Women.
The Trinamool Congress knows that women like Narendra Modi as leader, so its leaders are trying to prove the anti-women’s punishment by removing the anti-women’s sentence from the statements of the BJP leaders. The saffron party is aware of this tactic. Earlier this week, addressing a public meeting in Hubli, the prime minister said, “What can be done to forgive those who have wronged a Bengal daughter?” The Water-Life mission is underway to deliver water from pipes to every home in the country’s villages. Our sisters, mothers and daughters do not have to spend their time and effort to bring water to this mission. It shows that. Who yearns for water, is it Bengal’s daughter or not? ‘The leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party try to prove through the data at their meetings that Bengal is not only in development but also behind the welfare of women. No special work has been done there. Voters are trying to say through data that women are insecure despite having a female chief minister in this pioneering state of eastern India. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whose work or slogans are affected by the power of women in West Bengal, but I see more than half of the population instead of electoral defeat and victory. It is clear that the reservation of women in the panchayat elections in India has increased the political awareness among them. The statistics also prove this. In 2019, the then panchayat minister of the Lok Sabha, Narendra Singh Tomar, said there were a total of 41 lakh public representatives in the country’s 2,53,380 village panchayats, of which 46 per cent were women. However, they have yet to record their top grip on the top positions of power. There are currently 78 women MPs in the country’s largest panchayat lower house. After Bihar, the Bengal elections are expected to benefit half the population, rather than political defeat and victory.
