Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is pleased to announce the Center’s decision to cancel the Class X examination of the Central Parent Secondary Education Board (CBSE). However, a final decision should be taken regarding the 12th standard examination, he added.
He tweeted, “Eventually the government has decided to cancel the 10th class examination. However, the final decision on the 12th class examination should be taken. There is no point in pressuring the students till June. I urge the government to take a decision now.
The Central Government on Wednesday canceled the CBSE Class 10 exam in view of the growing Covid-19 epidemic across the country.
The government has finally canceled the 10th class examinations but the final decision must also be made for the 12th class. Until June there is no point in putting students under unnecessary pressure.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in the presence of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Secretary and other top officials.
Priyanka had raised several demands in the past few days to cancel the 10th and 12th grades. Examinations for both classes were scheduled to begin May 4.
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and many other leaders have demanded the cancellation of CBSE exams amid the growing threat of coronavirus infection.
