England fast bowler Harry Garney, who suffers from sustained injuries, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Gurney was injured after he failed to play for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL last year. Born in Nottingham, Gurney played 10 ODIs and two T20 internationals for England in 2014. Gerny announced his retirement on social media.

Garni said, ‘It’s time for me to retire. I have tried to recover from a shoulder injury but I am sad that I had to end my career because of it. When I was 10, I hit the ball for the first time. After that, cricket has been a part of my life for 24 years and it has been a great journey for me. The big dream of my life is to play for England and Kolkata Knight Riders. This time I have named eight trophies, including The Blast, Big Bash League and Caribbean Premier League.
