The Met Department has warned that heavy rains could occur in many parts of south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on November 25 or 26. According to the India Meteorological Department, hurricane prevention may cross the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry shores between Karaikal and Mamallapuram on Wednesday evening. In view of the warnings issued on the coastal areas, locals are building the ravines of their houses with rope and polythene. PM Modi is meeting with the Chief Ministers of all states and Union Territories via video conference today to discuss the growing coronavirus situation in various states of the country. At this meeting, the Prime Minister spoke with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami and Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanaswamy about the situation caused by Hurricane Nirvana.

PM Modi tweeted, “I have spoken to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami and Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanaswamy in view of the hurricane situation. The Center promised all possible help. I pray for the safety and welfare of all people living in the affected areas. ”

Previously, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gouba had reviewed the situation at a high-level meeting in the wake of the hurricane season and urged all agencies to be vigilant and take all precautionary measures to minimize the loss of lives and property. Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will be most affected by the hurricane season, the Met Department said.
