In 2015-16, 26.4 per cent of women in Bihar had their own bank account. 76.7 percent of women now have their own bank account. At the same time, the number of women using mobile has risen from 40.9 to 51.4. 61.8% of women in cities and 49.3% of women in rural areas use mobile. The National Family Health Survey 2020 report revealed this. The report was released on December 12.
According to this report, the education of girls in Bihar has written a new chapter in social, health and economic change. The report highlights the all-encompassing development in Bihar in ten years from the projects for girls’ education. The education of girls, especially girls, has improved by eight per cent as the cycle, dress and scholarship scheme for girls’ education.
The rate of this education in NFHS-4 was 49.6 percent, now it is 57.8 percent. The level of education has also improved in both rural and urban areas. An increase of four percent in the urban area and nine percent in the rural area. That is, the flames of education have spread from the city to more rural areas. One of the effects of educating girls is that females are more vocal against child marriage in the state. According to NFH-4, 42.5 percent of females were married 18 years ago. But by 2020, this figure is down to 40.8.
More than 11% are hospitalized
Already 11 per cent of women in rural areas are hospitalized, while in urban areas 14 per cent of pregnant women are hospitalized.
Voice over violence
Women have raised their voice against violence. In 2015-16, 43.2 percent of women were victims of domestic violence, and now the number is up to 40 percent.
