Eastern Railway spokesman Kamal Dev has confirmed that the new Koilaghat building on Strand Road in Kolkata has offices for the Eastern Railway and Southeast Railway. It also has a computerized ticket booking center on the ground floor.
Earlier in the day, over 20 shops were burnt in a fire in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir. However, no injuries were reported. Authorities have not yet identified the cause behind the Sopore incident.
